Uganda to Build Ballpark

Japan has provided Uganda a grant of a little over $120,000 to build their first ballpark.  The stadium will be constucted in Gayaza on three acres of land.

Uganda has gotten all sorts of publicity in the last couple years for their baseball prowess.  Jimmy Rollins did a tour there and the little league team was the first African team to qualify for the Little League World Series in Williamsport.  Now they will soon be able to play on a real baseball field rather than fields of grass marked by shirts as bases.
