2010 European Cup

The European Cup is being planned for early June 2010, to be hosted by the Netherlands and Czech Republic as reported by http://www.mister-baseball.com/2010-european-cups-rotterdam-brno/.  The final four championship will then be held in Montjuic, Spain.  The below is the list of teams who will be participants for the Cup:

  • DOOR Neptunus (Netherlands) - 2nd ranked
  • AVG Draci Brno (Czech Republic) - 13th ranked
  • Konica Minolta Pioniers (Netherlands) - 3rd ranked
  • Fortitudo Bologna (Italy) - 1st ranked
  • Telemarket Rimini (Italy) - 11th ranked
  • T&A San Marino (San Marino) - 6th ranked
  • Tenerife Marlins (Spain) - 8th ranked
  • CB Sant Boi (Spain) - 12th ranked
  • Rouen Huskies (France) - 4th ranked
  • Savigny Lions (France) - 26th ranked
  • Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (Germany) - 10th ranked
  • Hoboken Pioneers (Belgium) - 31st ranked
  • You can also take a look at http://www.mister-baseball.com/2009-misterbaseball-final-european-top-50/ ranking of the top 50 European teams.  The top team is an Italian team (Fortitudo Bologna), the first time in three years a team from the Netherlands did not take the top ranking.  The Netherlands had teams ranked in the next three spots and four teams ranked in the top ten.
