http://www.chinapost.com.tw/sports/baseball/2010/01/16/240989/Former-Japanese.htm also reports that Shingo Takatsu has signed for the Sinon Bulls.  He is slated to be the closer for the Bulls and if he gets a save he would be the only player to have picked up saves in Korea, the United States, Japan and Taiwan.

And in the continuing saga of the gambling investigation going on in Taiwan http://www.chinapost.com.tw/sports/baseball/2010/01/16/240996/Prosecutors-arrest.htm reports that two players have been arrested for their involvement in gambling.  The two players arrested are Hsu Jen-chieh and Chen Yung-che both former players for the Chinatrust Whales, a team that was disbanded last season after gambling problems.

The United State’s fans has its problems with steroids and determining which players used them.  When many of the major stars began admitting to the use of steroids it becomes apparent how prevalent the problem was.  Taiwan now has the same issue with gambling as more and more players get implicated in the gambling scandal.  Fans begin to wonder if anyone is free from the taint of the scandal, just like U.S. fans begin to wonder if any major leaguers are free from steroid use.
