Samsung Forces a Game Seven

There will be no celebration in Seoul with the Samsung Lions 6-2 win over the Doosan Bears to even the series at three games apiece.  Tai-In Chae gave the Lions the lead with a 2-run homer in the sixth and Han-Yi Park hit a 3-run bomb in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

The Bears only two runs were solo shots, a lead off bomb by Su-bin Jeong and a Jun-Seok Choi solo shot in the fifth.  They had many opportunities to score runs off nine different Lion pitchers, stranding two runners in the first inning and loading the bases in the second and third inning but failing to score.

Rick Vandenhurk lasted only one inning for the Lions, complaining of pain in his right biceps.  Dustin Nippert took the loss for the Bears, allowing all six runs and the two homeruns.
