Licey Sends Escogido to a Loss

In the battle of the Santo Domingos, Licey came out on top 3-0, led by the six inning, two hit pitching from Francisley Bueno.  As his last name states, his pitching was good.  The Leones started Francisco Liriano, but he was a bit rusty, giving up doubles to Anderson Hernandez and Ronny Paulino.  He reached his pitch count after getting the first two hitters out in the second inning, down 1-0.  Licey made sure he got credit for the loss with two insurance runs in the sixth, both runs scoring after a two out error by Escogido shortstop Pedro LopezDonell Linares made the error costly with his RBI double and Andy Dirks sneaked a single into centerfield to score Linares.  Oneli Perez retired the side in order in the ninth, striking out two to give the Tigers their second victory of the round robin.

Aguilas (3-3) game with the Gigantes (2-3) was postponed.
