Major Leaguers Get a Victory

After losing to the Japan Samurai three straight, the major leaguers gained a little pride with their 6-1 win yesterday, especially after being no hit the day before. Justin Morneau was again the big star for the major league team with four RBIs. His double in the first scored the major leaguers first run. His three run homerun in the third broke a 1-1 tie.

Evan Longoria had a solo homerun in the fifth. Chris Capuano worked five innings to pick up the win.

The United States first victory was not against Team Samurai. The first win was against a team of Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tiger players. This win makes the series against Team Samurai at 3-1. They can tie the series if they can pull out the last two games.
