Yomiuri Giants 3 Yokahama Bay Stars 2

The Gourriel brothers are ignoring the Bay Stars inquiries about their availability for the season. The Bay Stars are threatening to cut off their pay for missed games. Not a good start for a Cuban contract. The Bay Stars did get two solo homeruns from Yoshitomo Tsutsugo and Taiki Sekine but it was not enough to hold down the Giants. The Giants got a two run homerun from Yoshiyuki Kamei to put them on a top. The Giants had a record crowd of 45,524 attend the game.
