Bears Pounce on Dinos for Second Win

The Bears pitching staff limited the Dino offense to one run and a four run eighth broke a 1-1 tie to give Doosan their second straight win over the NC Dinos in the Korean Series. Won-Jun Jang bent but did not break, falling one out short of a complete game. He gave up 10 hits in his outing but allowed just the one run.

The Dinos strung together four hits in the eighth inning when they scored their only run, a double play groundout fizzling the rally. The Bears quickly struck back, doing most of their damage after two were out. A wild pitch broke the 1-1 tie and Jae-Wan Kim followed with a solo shot to up the ante to 3-1. The Bears scored two more runs to put the game out of reach.

Eric Hacker got the start for the Dinos and pitched well until the eighth inning meltdown. A hit batter to start the inning resulted in the go ahead run scoring.
