WBC Drawing Big Crowds

It appears the WBC is more popular if you judge it by the fan attendance. Major League baseball announced attendance through the first round was up 34 percent. There were 621,851 fans who attended 2017 first round games while in 2013 attendance sat at 463,017. The Tokyo Dome has averaged 44,123 but one ticket gets you into both games. The actual attendance for the non-Japanese games is pretty sparse. The first round games in Miami are more accurate with 163,878 showing up to watch the games. That is the highest first round total for a pool played in the United States and unlike Japan you had to buy a ticket for each game.
