Golden Spikes A to Z

http://web.usabaseball.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120216&content_id=26712576&vkey=news_usab&gid= has announced the first list for the 50 finalists for the Golden Spikes Award.  Many of these players will probably represent the United States on the college national team in international tournaments once their season is over.  At least, you get a sense of who to watch if you go out and watch a college game.

This list will be very fluid and change as the college season progresses.  Many of these players will be high draft picks by your favorite major league team.  They are the future of baseball.  In parenthesis is Baseball America’s projections of where they will fall in the top 50 of the draft.  Not all the players on the Golden Spikes list are eligible for the draft since many of them are sophmores.  They are identified with a (*).  Kevin Gausman appears to be a draft eligible sophmore.
