Otani Impressive in Third Start

The scouts are trying to figure out what to do with a player who hits fastballs 450 feet and throws fastballs at 100 plus miles per hour. Shohei Otani had his best outing of the year, throwing 5.2 innings of shutout ball and just allowing one hit. His strikeout numbers were down (4) but his fastball hit triple digits.

His ERA is still at a lofty 6.97. An ankle injury has prevented him from appearing on the hill, but it has not prevented him from hitting. His .346 batting average would be tops in the NPB if he had enough at bats. His OPS is at .990.
