Mariners Sign French Pitcher

Alexandre Roy will sign a contract with the Mariners on Thursday. Alexandre’s father is the son of the Rouen Huskies manager and some time pitcher Robin Roy. He is the fourth French player to sign a minor league contract. The other players are Joris Bert (Dodgers), Frederic Hanvi (Twins) and Andy Paz (Athletics, though Paz is Cuban born).
