Wyverns Play Long Ball for Second Win Over Heroes

The SK Wyverns got four innings from Merrill Kelly and three long balls, two of them off Eric Hacker to win 5-1. They now lead the best of five series two games to none.

Kim Kang-Min tied the game in the third with his RBI single. He then broke the tie with a solo shot in the fifth to make it 2-1. It was the second consecutive game in which he has hit a homerun.

In the sixth Lee Jae-Won launched a two run blast off Hacker to up the lead to 4-1. Choi Jeong added a solo bomb in the seventh to make it 5-1. Jeong also homered in his second consecutive game. For Jeong, injuries prevented him from having his third consecutive 40 homer season.

After allowing a run in the second inning the Wyverns pitching staff shut down the Heroes bats for the remainder of the game. In five innings the Wyverns bullpen limited the Heroes to just one hit, striking out eight.
