Josh Lindblom Win Top Pitching Award in KBO

Josh Lindblom won the equivalent of the Cy Young award in the KBO, named the Choi Dong-won award. It was the second straight year he has won the award. No other pitcher has won this award before in back to back years. Lindblom led the KBO in ERA with a 2.29 and also led the league in wins with 20. He was 5.1 innings shy of reaching 200 innings pitched.

There has been some rumors that Lindblom may return to the United States to pitch in the major leagues. He began pitching in the KBO in 2015 but returned briefly to the major leagues in 2017 to pitch for the Pirates. That return was not successful with a 7.84 ERA in four appearances. He was sent to the minors and eventually returned to the KBO later in the season. He has a career 4.10 ERA in five major league seasons.
