Sorry to be starting over, but I felt the site had gotten too cluttered. With the major league season over and my retirement effective September 30, 2011 it was time for a new beginning. Besides, my site had gone from older dates to new and I couldn’t find a fix.
With retirment myworld can now travel around the world to watch baseball games. Blogging about those travels and other international baseball news will be the focus of this blog. We will also discuss minor league prospects and anything else you find of interest.
If you want to find me at the ballpark, I’ll be the gringo with the stubble on his chin and the mustard stains on the shirt. Don’t be afraid to stop by to say hi. If you are friendly enough I may buy you a beer.
If you wish to email me at the site I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
The travel schedule for the year beginning October 1 2011 and ending September 30, 2012 will be as follows:
October 1 - October 16 - Panama for the World Cup
November 25-29 - Taiwan for the Asian Series
January - Puerto Rico for some winter league action - a place to be determined later
February - Dominican Republic for the Caribbean Series or Series del Caribe
March - Lakeland, Florida for Spring Trainging
August - Netherlands for the Honkball tournament
September - Place to be determined for the European World Cup
This page will be updated when the scheduled gets amended. Myworld will be a baseball nomad. The house we own will now be occupied by renters, who will save a room for me when I am in town.
Hope to see you at a ballpark near you.
For those who have expressed an interest, the countries I have been to currently. Most of these were for work, so they may not have been places I would have gone on a vacation, especially to see baseball.
